Have you ever talked to your friends or relatives about Jesus?
That’s the meaning of testifying in the Bible. To witness to other people about what Jesus has done for you.
To testify is to share the blessings Jesus gives you every day, to tell about the prayers Jesus has answered for you, to tell others that Jesus died to save you, that you feel His love and care when you go to school, that He provides food for you every day .. . and many other things.
In the Bible there are many examples of people who witnessed for Jesus (such as Paul, Peter, John, David …). Some of them witnessed through words, but others did it by showing their love to others (such as Abraham, Ruth, Dorcas…)
Do you think it’s hard to witness? You only need one thing to testify: to know Jesus and have a relationship with Him.
At first it might seem hard for you, but the Holy Spirit will help you speak and say the right words. That’s what happened with the apostle Peter after receiving the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. He went out on the street and began talking non-stop about Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection.
Do you know how many people were baptized after Peter’s testimony? Over three thousand people! If you want, you can read about it with your family in the Bible in Acts 2.
Think about people who don’t know Jesus. Write their names in your Prayer Journal.
Pray for them and ask the Holy Spirit to help you speak to them about Jesus
