What are calories? Are they bad for our health? How can you know for many calories your body needs?
Do we need to burn alt the calories we eat?
When you buy something to eat or drink, there is always a label where you can find the number of calories it has.
To begin with, I will tell you that calories are the units of measure that show us how much energy food or drinks provide for us.
For example, one large banana has one hundred and five calories, and a tablespoon of sugar has forty calories.
But there is a big difference between a banana and the healthy nutrients it provides for our bodies, and sugar, which does not provide any health benefits for our bodies.
We need calories to give us energy and strength to carry out all our activities every day.
However, we should only eat the amount our body needs to feet strong and full of energy, but not more than the amount we need, because that will not be good for our health.
Children who are very active should take in more calories than those who move less.
That’s why you’ll hear that to have a healthy body, we need to” burn» the calories we consume by doing our everyday activities and exercising.
Children six to twelve years old need between 1,400 and 2,000 calories.
God made foods with calories to provide the strength you need to feel well; that is, they are like fuel for your body to work.
When you feel weary and without strength, remember that Jesus has provided the food needed to keep your body healthy and let you grow happy.
