If you have a Bible in Spanish, took for the name of the book at the very end.
You will see that it is called “Apocalipsis,” which translates to ”apocalypse“ in English.
So why is it catted “Apocalypse» in Spanish? That’s because the Spanish translation of the Bible has kept the name in the original language in which this book was written: Greek.
Apocalypsis is a Greek word that means «revelation. «You can verify it on the very first verse of the book, which starts by saying, “this is a revelation.»
Who wrote the book? The apostle john did, but everything he wrote was revealed to him by his friend Jesus.
The One who was his Teacher showed him everything he had to write through a vision, and He spoke directly to john, like when He was here on earth.
What does Revelation show us?
It reveals through many symbols that Jesus is our Savior and that He has won the battle against Satan.
That is how the Bible ends: with a victory of good over evil.
Revelation shows what will happen in the future, so it is a prophetic book.
The most important thing Revelation teaches is that God is the One who controls the future of this planet.
We are in the hands of Someone who loves us and wants the best for us.
Don’t you think it’s wonderful to be in the hands of the One who has the entire universe under control?
There is a song that says, “He has the whole world in His hands.»
Sing it, write it in your Prayer journal, and smite because your Creator has everything under control.
