Is it true that someone was able to go up to the moon and step on its surface?
Well, history tells us that on July 20, 1969, three astronauts traveled on board a spaceship called Apollo XI (eleven). After landing on the Moon (or making a “lunar landing”), first Neil A. Armstrong, and then Edwin Aldrin, seconds later, descended from the spaceship and walked on the moon for two hours and fifteen minutes. Meanwhile, Collins remained inside the spaceship’s command module.
Armstrong‘s and Aldrin’s footsteps can still be seen on the moon’s surface, because there’s no rain or wind there to erase them. The legs of the lunar module, which is the part of the spaceship used to land on the moon, also remained there.
Armstrong said, ”The sights were simply magnificent, far beyond any other visual experiences I’ve ever had.”
Many years before Armstrong, King David also said, “The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.”
That’s because if we look at the sky and the universe, everything shows the Creator‘s wonderful work.
Would you like to set foot on the moon? Maybe someday you can be a great astronaut like Armstrong and travel in space.
Even though you can’t do it now, I want you to know that when Jesus returns, you’ll be able to ascend with Jesus and see the wrote universe, not only the moon.
Draw the moon in your Prayer Journal and write your prayer for today inside of it.
