I’m sure you didn’t have to think about… It’s three!
As you know, there is only one God. But the Bible teaches us that our God is three people who act as one: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.
All three are god, but there are not three Gods. Only one God. Each of them has a different task. How can we understand this? Well. I was once told that in order to understand the “Trinity, “ that is, the three persons of the Deity, one must think of water. Water can be liquid, like when you drink a glass of water; it can be solid, like when it turns to ice; and it can be vapor, like when you make a hot tea. But whether its form is liquid, solid, or vapor, it’s still water.
The same happens with the three persons of the Deity . They think the same, but each one fulfills a task, and although they show themselves as together from the begining to create the world, In Genesis 1:26 it says, «Let us make human beings in our image.» As you can see, the way it said is in the plural «Let us make» and not in the singular «Let me make» or «I will make.»
The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit are single and only almighty and eternal God who knows, all things. The Three are God. This is so wonderful and so great that we can’t even imagine it.
Don’t worry if you don’t understand it all; you’re not the only one. When we are with Him, in the New Earth, He will explain it to us and give us the ability to know all the answers. But in the meantime, you can get to know Him by reading the stories of the Bible.
In your own words, explain what the Deity is in your Prayer Journal.
