Do you like to eat hamburgers, hot dogs, ketchup, mustard, and french fries, and drink a large soda?
Of course almost all children like that, right?
Well, all that «fast» food is also called «junk food.»
Do you know why?
Because it is food that contains a lot of fat, salt, condiments, or sugars that stimulate appetite and thirst.
It also has numerous food additives, like monosodium glutamate (a flavor enhancer) or tartrazine (a food coloring).
This means that you can’t stop eating. Even if you have eaten a lot, you always want more.
Actually, «junk food» doesn’t provide us with the necessary nutrients for our body to function properly.
What’s more, it gives us what our body doesn’t need, so we don’t eat well and that has an effect on our health.
Those who eat «junk food» every day end up sick, and others suffer from obesity—they weigh more than their bodies can withstand, and that leads them to move less and be sad.
Jesus wants you to take care of your body, because He created you. When Jesus created your body, He created a perfect machine as well as the fuel it needed to run at peak performance.
Isn’t it true that for a car to work, it needs gasoline, and not something else?
Well, in Eden, our Creator provided us with everything we needed to eat and drink to function well: water, seeds, fruits, cereals . . .
The less processed your food is (in other words, the more natural it is), the stronger and healthier your body will be.
Write in your Prayer Journal what you will eat today to take care of your body.
