IF YOU HAVE ever assembled a puzzle of more than a thousand pieces, you know the satisfaction you experience when you only have a few pieces left to complete it. Probably it was not easy; perhaps many times through trial and error, you had to start over or rearrange some pieces. But how satisfying it is, when at last you can see the finished picture and you know that you did it! Reaching maturity is Similar to this; with joy and gratitude to life you can see that you have closed cycles to make way for new ones, you’ve created opportunities that make you worthy of trust and respect, you have had to stan over again and rearrange quite a bit, but with the perspective provided by time, you see that your life’s image is satisfactory; then, you feel at peace to face the future.
Your baggage has taught you to change concepts and establish priorities.
The time for searching has ended, because you know what you want and need. Maturity Places you on the mountain top, which allows you to have a better perspective, showing that you are able to mentor those who are younger and less experienced than you. It’s the time when you can exclaim, You have hedged me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me” (Psalm 139:5). Rightfully so, you can consider yourself knowledgeable of the science of life in Christ,: because its a subject you have studied and passed with God’s help.
During this time of stocktaking, focus more on the blessings you have received and less on the sorrows you have lived. Of course there will be pitfalls falls to overcome on the way still left to travel, but “when we really believe that God loves us and means to do us good we shall cease to worry about the future.
We shall trust God as a child trusts a loving parent” (Prayer, ch. 21, p. 227).
Mature women don’t fear rejection, but rather have self-esteem based on the unconditional support the Father offers them. Your job is to discover the new purposes God has for you at this stage of your life. Be distinguished woman. Walk your life’s way proudly and elegantly, carrying the experience of the years you have live with you.
