“The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge,
but the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness”
CREATED BY GOD special and unique, women are always works progress, we are not finished products; that is, God’s work that began in us is still taking place no matter how old we are. Our personal growth isn’t yet complete. Every day offers us a new opportunity to progress, to explore new knowledge and to make changes toward our optimal development as daughters of God. What a great privilege to have so many opportunities! The question is: Are we using them well? Are we reinventing ourselves daily? Do we seek wisdom? Do we feed on what will make us grow and progress in our Christian walk?
Knowing who you are and discovering your purpose in life are the first steps you should take to reinvent yourself. Remember you’re God’s daughter, created for eternity; this will be your compass to help you chart your course. Carl Sagan said, “Human beings are made of stardust.” This illustration makes me think we should work on ourselves to take the shape of a star that will light the sphere of influence in which the Lord has placed us.
I suggest that every night when you go to bed, ask yourself. “what have I learned today that will help me reach my final destination?” Because today is the time to start reconsidering; if you don’t do this, today will become yesterday and you will have lost more time. Use your creativity to dignity your life and the life of people with whom you interact every day. Leave a spiritual imprint wherever you go.
Develop values that will improve your essence as a daughter of God. Accept life’s challenges and hardships and use them to grow in faith and strength. How, if it were not for those hardships, could you discard the false beliefs that you harbor?
Listen to your body when it speaks to you, because this will free you from physical and soul diseases; cry when you need to cry and laugh when you have to laugh, don’t reverse your emotions; and, most importantly, build your life with God Day by day, accept His will and look for answers to your problems as you lean on Him.
Gratefulness is a good starting point. Have you noticed all the beautiful things surrounding us everywhere? Our wonderful God makes sure we see them.
