“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10).
LET’S EXAMINE a little the singularity of what is feminine and what is masculine, in order to discover the richness of both and thus realize that they’re not opposed; on the contrary, they complement each other.
The masculine nature cries out for acknowledgment of its achievements and efforts on behalf of those he loves. Recognition of what men perceive as their merits is a kind of motor that encourages them to reach their goals and makes them feel good and happy in their personal relationships. On the other hand, women yearn to take root in the hearts of those they love, showing tenderness even if they are not acknowledged for it.
Men were born to conquer; they love to touch the woman’s heart they love without feeling pressured to do so. They like to feel like they conquered, freely and voluntarily, what they wanted to conquer. At the professional arena, they set out to reach a certain status that will allow them to be leaders. At home they yearn to guide and lead, without becoming dictators. For women, however, their home is an extension of themselves and, when they are allowed, they display creativity and charm. They feel fulfilled when they open the doors of their homes to guests and these to turn admire the warmth and beauty with which they have decorated it.
To men, facts are facts, and when faced with a problem they tend to look for solutions, setting aside emotions and feelings. Let’s say men are more objective. To women, emotions and feelings pervade more than pure reason. They look at what’s happening and measure the elects of a problem by what they feel. This makes them more subjective.
Men focus on things rather than people. They show their love by providing and giving things to those they love. Women, on the other hand, focus on people; this is why they tend to seem more merciful and self-sacrificing. They feel satisfaction when they give moral and spiritual support.
This is all part of God’s masterpiece. Feminine and masculine exquisite- ness are imbued in every cell of their bodies, and this is enough reason to praise God and try to find in each other what we need in order to walk together toward eternal transcendence.
