Do you like it when others talk badly about you? How do you feel when a friend doesn’t lend you their tablet? Do you like being mistreated?
I’m sure you don’t! You like it when others talk nicely about you, when your friends lend you their things and treat you kindly, right?
Well, that’s what your friends andfamily like as well. So if you want to be treated kindly, why not start by first treating others the way you‘d like them to treat you2
Although it seems like a tongue-twister, it’s the advice Jesus gave all those listening to Him while sitting on a hillside.
It‘s known as the «Golden Rule» because if everyone put it into practice we would be happier. Actually, if you stop and think about it, it’s a very simple rule that helps us fight less with others and feel better. Because when we do something good for others, we’re always happier.
In addition, the Bible says that if you «sow» love, peace, and kindness toward others, you’ll also receive those same things.
How easy it would be to play, learn, and live if we all applied the ”Golden Rule”!
Begin this very day by trying it out with your family and friends.
Do something for someone that you would like them to do for you and write down today’s verse in your Prayer journal using a golden color.
