Do you get along with all the members of your family?
Do you ever argue with your friends?
Being at peace with everyone and maintaining unity in the family and in the church is not always easy. However, the apostle Paul writes a letter to the Ephesians in which he tells them that it is possible.
In that letter he often uses the words «unity» and «peace.» But the word he mentions most is «Christ.»
Do you know why? Because there were two groups that were together in the Ephesus church: the Gentiles and the Jews. Both were very different and sometimes they argued. However, Paul tells them that thanks to Christ they are no longer two different groups because He destroyed the wall that divided them.
Jesus is able to unite people and put peace where there is war or disagreement.
If you travel to another country and visit an Adventist church, you will realize that you feel as if you are in your own church. All of us who follow Jesus are united by Him and His teachings. Thanks to Him, there is no difference between Jews and Gentiles, no matter if you are Guatemalan or Mexican, Colombian or Dominican . . . because the love, peace, and salvation of Jesus unites us, and we are all Christian.
Thanks to the love and example of Jesus, we can love and support each other. That is how we can achieve peace and unity.
