«The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands» (Psalm 138:8).
HELEN KELLER, a deaf and blind writer and educator, said, «You should never crawl when you have the urge to fly.» Considering her condition in life, this is an impressive thought. Despite her physical limitations and inspired by her therapist, she put aside adversity to allow herself to fly high; she graduated with honors from Radcliffe University, proving incorrect the belief that those who have a disability are destined to fail.
For the most part, each person develops their own definition of success and failure. God created all human beings with certain qualities of character. These very qualities are the tools, which allow us to soar above adversity. We have been promised that: «Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint» (Isaiah 40:31). Inspired by this wonderful statement, nothing you set out to do that’s in harmony with the will of God will be impossible for you.
A woman afflicted with an incurable disease, tried in vain to present her case to Jesus, who walked nearby. The multitude that surrounded the Lord blocked her attempts to be noticed by Him. Desperate, but led by her faith, she managed to touch Jesus‘s mantle. Clinging to her trust, she overcame her condition. New life flooded her tortured body. Many women have struggles ranging from their status as women to traumatic experiences that inhibit their personal development. They feel incapable of staying in their comfort zone by a conscious act of their own will. Simply put, their fear of failure becomes intolerable. The woman with the incurable disease faced many barriers in her approach to Jesus, but she removed them with creativity, tenacity, and unwavering faith, knowing that she would not be rejected by the Master.
If you think that where you live there are no growth opportunities for you, or if someone has led you to believe that your obstacles are impassable, remember that God is your Savior and therefore, He is the solution to all your conflicts. Trust Him and walk toward your dreams without fear, making sure you are in tune with His will and listening to the advice of those who love you.
God sees the possibilities you can reach. He has a plan; He knows your potential. He wants this power in you to be unearthed so that you can become the image of the Father that you were created to express (see T. D. Jakes, Woman, Thou Art Loosed)
