«God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well» (Romans 12:6, NLT).
YESTERDAY WE TALKED about God’s wonderful plans for each of us. It thrills me to know that for the fulfillment of His plans, God does not leave us in the lurch. He provides exceedingly, to all and without exceptions.
If you want to move toward the fulfillment of your dreams, make the most of the gifts God has given you. When you have them in sight, move forward and dare to be and to do what He expects of you. As women, we generally have certain traits in common; on the other hand, though we share these traits, each of us has a particular and distinctive set of God-given gifts. This individuality allows us to be used by God in a unique way. This also means that what we fail to «be or do» for God in this world, no one else will be able to «be or do.» And that leaves a big void, right?
Our part is to discover and develop those skills that God is willing to transform into gifts that will not only benefit our personal development but others also. This new year is the time to realistically adapt ourselves to the personal resources we own and to put them into action. When we do, we will realize that there are things that are not easy for us to accomplish, and others that though they may seem impossible, with personal effort, dedication, commitment, practice, and trust in God, can become possible.
Have the courage to become the best version of yourself; in other words, believe in yourself, recognize your abilities and don’t hide them, because the Lord has not given them to you to be set aside, but to be put to good use. Dare to put your «personal stamp» on everything you do. «Personal branding is like DNA; its something that makes us unique, that sets us apart from others, that makes us special and irreproducible beings. Its like our fingerprint, something that allows us to be recognized among millions of similar beings.» (Andrés Pérez Ortega).
Start today by taking stock of your intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and material gifts; take on the challenge and do your best. No path remains long and tedious if, as you move through it, you discover, create, learn, and serve.
You have a year ahead of you and, right beside you, stands a loving God who is willing to be your Guide, your Counselor, and your unconditional Friend.
