«For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope» (Jeremiah 29: 11).
HERE ARE THOSE who think that dreams are simply illusions that briefly distract us from the harsh reality around us. Others believe that life’s great achievements begin with a dream that, if pursued with commitment and tenacity, can become a reality. I am convinced that God created us to achieve great goals. I believe that because we have been made in the likeness of the Lord, our possibilities for growth go even beyond our ability to dream.
The Lord says in John 14:12: «He who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do.» If we base our daily work on this promise, we have the guarantee that our dreams can become beautiful realities.
Another year has just begun and for us it’s time to renew our purposes and realize our dreams. The only thing we may be missing is to put God at the beginning and end of our dreams. It’s time to dream of God and with God Now let me ask you this question: Do your dreams as a woman please the Lord? If that’s so, get excited about them and do what you need to do to the best of your abilities. Be tenacious and develop realistic strategies to move toward what you desire, because you know you have Heaven; approval. To achieve those dreams, you have to be awake, alert, and focused.
Many of us invest part of our lives in nuking the dreams of others come true, while neglecting our own, perhaps because we feel unable to carry them out. However, such feelings of inability are not to be trusted. Keep your enemies away: laziness, negligence, discouragement, lack of faith, and the words of those who tell you that you will never make it. Don’t put off God’s plans for your life.
If you haven’t started pursuing those dreams that you know are in harmony with the Lord’s will for humanity, now is the time. Whether you are a mother, a wife, a grandmother, a sister, an aunt or a daughter, start taking action at home, at work or at school. Whether you are married, single, widowed or divorced, there are no limits to what you can achieve if Christ is your travel companion every minute, hour, day, week, and month of this new year.
The path has been laid out by the One who fulfilled in you His greatest dream: saving you.
