Jehovah your God is the one who fights for you. Deuteronomy 3:22, RV95.
«Please help me with these bags,» said the stranger with authority. At her side was Josselin Euceda, visiting the jail where her husband is. Josselin was carrying his little girl in his arms, so his first answer was a simple «no»; But this woman was not taking no for an answer. So, after much prodding, Josselin made the mistake of accepting and grabbing the bag without knowing what it contained.
When she got to the security checkpoint, the police officer who searched her found that suspicious bag. He broke it and what was inside was exposed: it was full of marijuana. Josselin’s world came crashing down on him.
«What is this?» Demanded the policeman.
«It’s not mine,» Josselin managed to say, nervous, crying. I swear to you that bag is not mine; someone asked me to help her by taking her away and I just helped her …
-That bag is not hers !!! – A woman who was watching the scene shouted suddenly – I saw how that girl gave it to her – and immediately afterwards, she went to look for the young woman who had given the bag to my friend Josselin.
The situation itself was incredible. Who agrees to put packages of true strangers in jail? Who defends someone in a prison environment, where the law of save oneself prevails? But a third incredible experience still happened.
«Get out of here before the colonel comes,» the policeman whispered quietly in Josselin’s ear.
She understood, and walked away instantly. But he could see the end of the scene. When the colonel approached, he asked:
-Who’s bag is this?
«From her,» the policeman replied, pointing directly at the culprit.
The rest of those present were silent. Josselin learned that the fate of that young woman was a drug trafficking charge and, later, jail. Josselin knows it was divine intervention. God fought his battle.
Dear friend, God fights our battles. He is aware of what happens to us and wants everything, the good and the bad, to be for our spiritual growth and to increase our faith.
