Here’s a happy story about being at the right place at the right time.
A family of four was fairly wealthy and lived in a nice home. Even though they were rich, they still believed in God.
One day the mother, Diana, decided to quit her job and stay home. Things went pretty well for about six or seven months. Then the family’s money began to run out. When one of the daughters had a birthday, they used up quite a bit of money. The father, Gary, noticed the problem but didn’t want to worry the family.
Before long, they were bankrupt! They’d used up all their savings and were too proud to accept money from church members or neighbors.
One morning, right before Gary left for work, the electricity went off and Diana began to cry. Gary comforted her, saying everything would be OK. Before he got in his car, he prayed to God for help. As he said amen, he looked up and saw a $20 bill blowing down the street. He picked it up and saw another one drifting through the air. When he was sure there were no more, he immediately got in his car and drove to the supermarket where he bought enough food to last until his next paycheck. The money left over filled his gas tank. Then he arrived at work with a thankful prayer on his lips.
Not everyone in need finds money blowing in the wind, but they’ll always find God’s loving presence
