THE PRAYER CHAT

Daily Devotions for women’s 2020 Para el: 20 octubre

«If My people . . . pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven  (2 Chronicles 7:14).

ALICE WAS INVOLVED in a prayer chat, without suspecting that the activity of that group would lead to a miracle in her life. On January 5, 2017, when she was leaving the school where she works, she slipped and fell. Tie security guard came to help her get up and that is when they found out her right hand was not well. In pain, she was taken to the hospital, where she underwent the necessary examinations. Her radius was broken and displaced, so she was referred to an orthopedic surgeon. The bone had to be put back in place, so they anesthetized her, set the bone, and waited for her next examination. Upon leaving the hospital, Alice sent a message to the church ladies in the prayer chat, specifically asking them to pray for a miracle. began to pray instantly.

Tie next day, the bad news was not long in coming: they had to operate, but there was no operating room available for her. She had to wait, so she was sent home with indications for minimal work for a month. During that time, the pain increased so much that Alice could not sleep. On one occasion she decided to go to the emergency room, where they removed the plaster and discovered that the thumb bone was also broken. However, there was still no availability in the hospital to get her into surgery. Alice did not lose her trust in God; she knew that her chat sisters were continuing to pray for her.

March 15, more than two months later, was the date of her operation. Alice messaged again in the chat, asking them to pray for a miracle. When they were looking for her vein to give her anesthesia, the specialist decided to check her hand and told the assistant to take one last X-ray. “The bone has fused by itself; we will not need to operate. You’ll go straight to rehabilitation,» the surgeon informed her. It has been two years and her hand is completely fine: zero pain’ zero discomfort, and mobility recovered one hundred percent, to the honor and glory of God.

Modern technology allows us to unite at a distance to pray together to the Lord. God’s people are scattered throughout the earth, but there are no boundaries anymore. Let us unite in prayer through initiatives such as the one in which Alice participates, and let us wait together for God’s intervention. Unity gives us strength.
