“Even children are known by the way they act, whether their conduct is pure, and whether it is right” (Proverbs 20:11, NLT).
When I was a young colporteur in Baja California Sur, Mexico, Aureo Arellano who was the local associate director of the colporteur program, told us about the importance of having goals in life. The man showed enthusiasm as he told us how important it was for him to have written down his goals. So, without waiting any longer, he invited us to write down our goals on a piece of paper. At that moment 1 wrote down my dreams and illusions that I hoped would crystallize with a fusion of divine power and human effort There we kneeled, placing our desires in the hands of the heavenly Father. I still keep that piece of paper on which I wrote my dreams when I was a young man. Its influence in my life has been very important In sever. al difficult moments, it has persuaded me to persevere in my goals. In fact, I must admit that this simple act of that good man had a very special relevance in my later decisions. Today I can say that Jesus has given me much more than what I have asked Our youth is a time to be filled with dreams and to envision the future with hope. Don’t bury your dreams. Don’t be persuaded by those who pretend to convince you that you will not be able to achieve your goals. Sometimes parents, teachers, and well-meaning people have that bad habit. In Jesus Christ, young people are called to dream! The biblical promise says: «I do all things through Christ who strengthens me» (Philippians 4:13).
However, we must remember that not everything in life must be dreams and illusions, but it is necessary to bring good desires to action, as the Bible says: «Even a child is known by his deeds, whether what he does is pure and right» Now that you are young, use your strength to reach your goals! Don’t give up!
I think you’re at a good time to make for yourself well-defined goals in your life The more specific they are, the easier it will be to organize your life in order to reach them. I’m sure they’ll be a very important influence on your future. What are you waiting for? Do it right now! Write down your goals so that you can focus all your energies on achieving them. And of course, don’t forget that God is always willing to be a part of your life project.
Tell God your dreams today, and ask Him to lead you on the right path to fulfilling those dreams.
