For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Under the shade of the aspen tree,
I think of my love for God
And His love for me.
As the cool breeze sweeps between the trees,
A glimpse of love shimmers from the leaves.
The smell of damp sage hangs low in the air,
With the love of God the day is so fair.
As the morning mist begins to disappear,
My picture of Him becomes more and more clear.
The air seems so crisp and clean,
As God’s love wisps off the trickling stream.
A doe and her fawn nibble freely nearby,
Where the green grass invites you to carelessly lie,
For the rest of the afternoon staring up into the sky.
As the day grows older and the sun begins to rise,
