And one cried to another and said: «Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!» ISAIAH 6:3, N KJV
From Athens, Greece, my wife and I boarded a boat that would stop at a several Greek islands in the Aegean Sea. There was one in particular we were planning to visit called Santorini. The island is made up of half an enormous volcanic crater, and the dock was on the inside of the flooded crater. From the dock, a bus took us up a bunch of very steep switchbacks to the rim, where all the towns were located. In town, we rented a car so that we could explore this unique island. Many of the towns there were perched on the edge of the crater on a cliff hundreds of feet above the sea. The villages were very beautiful, since most of the buildings were painted bright white. Our next task was to find a place to stay.
In North America we’re used to familiar names when it comes to hotels, but in Santorini it seemed that every place was a small, family-owned hotel. The place we found was quite interesting. The main office was up high on the cliff, but in order to get to our room, we had to climb down the cliff face through a series of steps and paths that resembled a maze. When we made it to our door, we discovered that our room was actually a nicely finished cave with a door on it. Just inside the front door was a little seating area, then farther in was the bathroom, and all the way to the back of the cave was a little bedroom. The room was built directly from nature.
The GOD who created our world is the most creative being in the universe. The evidence is everywhere. Look at the nature around you today, and you will see evidence of HIS creativity and glory. You are also part of HIS creators may your life today give HIM glory.
