Let him have all your worries and cares, for he is always thinking about you watching everything that concerns you. 1 PETER 5:7, TLB
I got off the airplane that morning at the Honk Kong airport and took the express tram into the bustling city of Hong Kong. I arrived at the metro station where we exited and quickly got a taxi and asked the driver to take us to the train station in Kowloon, which was on the other side of the city. Our taxi dropped us off in time to catch our train, which would take us a few hours into mainland of China, to a large city called Guangzhou. A few hours later, we arrived at the train station in Guangzhou. We went outside and immediately boarded a taxi, and I asked the driver to take me to the airport in the city. Forty-five minutes later, we were dropped off at the airport, just in time to catch our flight to a city called Guilin, which was several hours’ of flying into the Chinese mainland. After arriving, we exited the airport and found a taxi, showing the driver the name of the hotel, we were going to. Our driver took us into the city and dropped us off at our hotel. We got checked in, and soon we were back on the street again, looking for another taxi. Airport taxi drivers could speak a little English, but he regular city taxi drivers couldn’t speak a single word of English. They would stop, we’d try to tell them where we wanted to go, but they didn’t understand.
In the last few hours we had been on two airplanes, two trains, and we were looking to ride our fourth taxi. It was quite frustrating to get so far and then get stuck. Getting stuck is part of life. Sometimes we get stuck in traffic, you get stuck on a project, you get stuck on a level of a video game, you get stuck on a bad team at school. What to do?
You have a choice.
You can decide to get stressed out about it, or you can choose to pray, leave it in GOD’S hands, and not worry about it. Yes, worrying is a choice. I don’t recommend it!
