“Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” MARK 11:24, NKJV
A few years ago, I went on a unique mission trip with my church to Honduras. Our group had older folks, middle-age adults, college kids, high school kids, and about six elementary kids. During our time there, we moved around in a big yellow school bus. On Sabbath afternoon, we decided to take the group up a mountain to an overlook in the jungle. When we arrived, we explored some ruins, and a local man gave us a few stalks of sugarcane to try.
When it was time to return the only way out was to back the bus several hundred feet to a place where was a lot of slick mud on the dirt road. As the bus begun to back down small jungle road, it started to slip in the mud. As the wheels spun, it only slid farther into the jungle. Soon the front tires of our bus were two feet deep in mud. Everyone got off the bus, trying to figure out what we should do. The men decided to try pushing the bus, but our efforts seemed to make things worse. The bus slid deeper off the road and even started tilting into the jungle. We were miles away from the nearest town, and the situation seemed completely hopeless. That’s when an older woman in our group suddenly said, “We should have a prayed right away!”
Our group grasped hands and prayed right there in the muddy jungle. The men decide to try pushing again, but this time the bus came right out of the mud! It was one of the fastest answer-prayed miracles I had ever experienced.
The power of prayer is real. Since GOD made you and loves you, He’s always ready and willing to hear about your concerns; it doesn’t matter if they’re big or small.
