And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 CORINTHIANS 9:8, NIV
One summer when my boys were small we did a road trip to Yellowstone national Park in Wyoming. Once you enter the park, the main road is a giant loop that takes you too many incredible natural wonders. There are areas with petrified wood, areas with hot springs, mud pots, geysers, and fumaroles. There are canyons, lakes prairies, mountains, and forest. It is impressive how many natural wonders could exist in one place!
As we drove around the park, one of the things we always watched for was a bunch of cars stopped on the side of the road. This usually meant there some wildlife nearby to view. Sometimes we saw a huge elk a few feet from the road, chomping on grass. Other times, we’d see a handful of bison in a meadow grazing or even walking across the road. One time we saw a family of wolves walking down the road! We followed them for a few minutes until they took into the woods. Our most memorable animal encounter took us by surprise.
We were pulled over at a rest area when suddenly we saw a mother black bear family with two cubs about hundred feet away. As the bears neared, a few more people gathered. Before we knew it,, we were back in our cars because the bear family came right into the parking lot and walked past us! As they went by, the cubs played around as they followed their mother back into the woods on the other side of the parking lot. What a gift it was to experience this!
God loves blessing us in so many different ways. Sometimes it’s something as simple as this bear experience we would never forget.
God even knows how to bless us with things we would have never asked for. I wonder what a blessing God has in store for you today.
