But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. GALATIANS 5:22, 23 NIV
I’ve been to quite a few cities, towns, and villages in my travels, but one of the most unusual places I’ve visited was a city in France called Mont Saint Michel. The town is located on the north coast of France. The drive to get there took us through some beautiful parts of France, and when we finally arrived, we were able to appreciate how unique this place was. The little town sits about two thousand five hundred feet off the coast on a little island. When I was there, the way to get to the island was by driving or walking out on the ling causeway. The interesting thing about this island is that at certain water. This makes it quite important to have a plan before arriving!
When I first walked through the city walls, I felt like I had traveled back in time to the middle ages. Now, only about fifty people live there, and half of them are monks. Hundreds of years ago, more than a thousand people lived there. The center of the island has a tall, rocky hill, with a church tower built at the highest point. Even if you are miles away, the first thing you see is the church tower that overlooks the entire town.
As Christian we are like Mont Saint-Michel.
Jesus is important in our lives-even when people see us from a distance, they should be able to know that we are Christians by the way we act and behave. When they are close, they should especially know that Jesus is number one in our lives. Does the way you act and talk let people around you know that you love Jesus? If not, what should you change?
